The Special Collections Research Center (SCRC) houses one of the largest and most significant collections of rare and unique materials of any educational institution of comparable size in the United States. Focused on Virginia history but with nationally and internationally important collections, the Manuscripts Collection includes letters, diaries, journals, scrapbooks, business records, organizational minutes, and other items that provide evidence of events great and small and the daily lives of Americans of all backgrounds. The Rare Books Collection, with volumes dating from the 15th century to the present, is strong in dogs, Virginia-related items, early Virginia family libraries, gardening and natural history, religion, book arts, printing history, travel, science, and medicine. The University Archives documents the history of William & Mary from 1693 to the present, including a wide range of materials from administrative records, student organization records, and alumni papers to photographs, audio-visual materials, and artifacts.

This collection includes two copies of Moe's script for the play "Hark Upon the Gale." One copy is edited, the other is clean. The play was commissioned by the College of William and Mary to function as one of the Jamestown Festival Program events. It was directed by Howard Scammon and performed by the William & Mary Theatre. There is also a 1961 letter from Moe to Earl Gregg Swem which accompanied the clean script copy. Lastly, there are two copies of the program for "Hark Upon the Gale," performed from October 23-25, 1957 in Phi Beta Kappa Hall.

The bulk of the material dates from when Ms. Meyer was a student from 1955-1958. Included are copies of various issues of the Flat Hat, Alumni Gazette, and programs from productions of the William & Mary Theatre. The photographs mostly consist of different reunions of the class of 1958 from over the years.

This collection consists of correspondence, clippings, photographs, programs, playbooks and other material collected by William and Mary Theatre professor Howard Scammon. The bulk of the material is correspondence between Scammon and his former students, but the papers also include documentation related to the William and Mary Theatre, The Common Glory, the Jamestown Festival of 1957, other Williamsburg theatre groups and famous William and Mary alumni such as Glenn Close and Linda Lavin. Some personal papers are also included.

The bulk of the material includes clippings and planning documents about William and Mary Theatre director Howard Scammon and a Common Glory reunion in 1999, but there are also Christmas Cards, correspondence between Rapp and fellow William and Mary alumnus Linda Lavin, and sheet music entitled "Music of The Founders" by the Jamestown Corporation.

Contains school course notes, programs, and other material kept by Joseph Daragan, class of 1971, while a student at the College of William & Mary. Included in the papers are programs from William and Mary Theatre productions of Hamlet (1969), The Investigation (1969), The Devil's Disciple (1968), and Of Thee I Sing (1970). The course notes are from classes in Anthropology, including ANTH 321, taught by professor Ted Reinhart, and ANTH 432. The papers also include punch cards from a computer science class and a history of the class of 1971.
