Series 9: Ephemera, 1887-1932, includes myriad ephemeral materials that were accumulated the Grove Family. The series is arranged alphabetically. Some items of note within this series include military ephemera (containing some transfer orders and programs to numerous military events); music education ephemera (which include sheet music and small booklets pertaining to the popular songs of the time); some photos of a storefront and two unidentified individuals; and travel brochures, maps, and promotional materials of Virginia and other locations.

Series 2: Ephemera, 1911-1967, contains two programs from Broadway High School – one including a cast of characters and synopsis of "The Deacon" and one outlining the May 10, 1911 commencement exercises. Miscellaneous religious tracts and clippings are also included. Ralph B. Hutton's membership cards to organizations include The American Legion, Elkton Volunteer Fire Company, National Federation of Post Office Clerks, and the Confederate States Army (reorganized in August 1962).

Series 3: Ephemera, 1916-1957, includes newspaper clippings, photographs, postcards, and a few miscellaneous items including a half stick of chewing gum dating to 1916. Noteworthy items include a folder of seven vinegar valentines featuring color illustrations and corresponding poems. These lithographs likely date to the late nineteenth or early twentieth century and feature racist sentiments or are otherwise insulting in tone. Two of the lithographs evoke Jim Crow era values and depict African Americans with stereotypical physical characteristics.

This series contains a variety of realia related to the history of SGA, 1930-2014. There are several large gaps in this series; 1931-1954, 1970-1980, and 2002-2012. The ephemera in this collection primarily comprises shirts, posters, academic regalia, and installation programs; however, there are additional items such as an SGA travel mug and several plaques. "Mr. and Ms. Madison 2014" sashes are included.

Series 2: Ephemera, 1958-1989, consists primarily of loose ephemeral material found scattered throughout the collection. The majority of this material is stored in Assorted Ephemera, made up of various pamphlets on Kappa Kappa Psi, JMU musical programs, and certificates of recognition for the Eta Omicron chapter.

This series includes Betty's Madison College pennant and beanie. It also includes a Bluestone Society medal, her nametag for the 50th reunion for the class of 1964 held in 2014, a pin for the Bluestone Society, and lastly a pin for the President's Council. The President's Council pin is awarded for regular donations to James Madison University. Coe's annotated yearbooks from 1962 and 1963 were retained. The items in this series are all contained within one oversize box.
