Five-Year diary, 1938-1942 of an Agnes Wullenwaber of Illinois. Brief daily entries describe the daily life of the author, including chores, work, and social life. The author also comments on the hardships of the Great Depression and the beginnings of World War II.

Three five-year diaries of Bertha E. Allison, of Good Hope, Illinois for the years 1927-1931 and 1943-1943. The following information was provided by the seller: "Almost all days have entries except when the writer's mother had a stroke in April, 1935. There were practically no entries from then until September of that year. All the diaries have deaths listed on the back pages and the latest lists books Bertha read in 1940-41 on a front page. She gives an account of the weather, chores, trips, social get-togethers, funerals and makes mention here and there of current events, like the United States entering WWII, a dust storm in Oklahoma, local fatal factory explosion." Account book, 1808-1839, kept by Calvin Hobart, a cabinet maker, grain mill builder, and craftsman. Hobart moved from Vermont to Ohio in 1821, and then on to Schuyler County, Illinois in 1822. Listed in the account book are transactions recording payment for tables, chair frames, cradles, agricultural produce, horse pasturage, and labor. The book begins with approximately 40 pages of accounts, then the next 50 pages are blank, and the remaing section of the book contains more accounts.

Letters, 1926, written to the Dixie Hound Kennels of Herrick, Illinois. Both letters are inquiries about purchasing coondogs from the Dixie Hound Kennels, one sent from Pennsylvania and the other sent from Arkansas. Dixie Hound Kennels sent at least one dog out on a 10 day trial.
