Invitation from Mr. and Mrs. John Kerr Branch for "the pleasure of your company" on the "tenth of February" at One West Franklin Street [Richmond, Virginia]. October 19, 1907 letter from Philip F. Brown, manager of "The Chesterfield" apartments in Richmond, Virginia to John P. Branch about a $31.29 debt owed by Branch Cunningham, John P. Branch's nephew.

Tibbetts, Charles D., 1827-1924

Papers of Charles D. Tibbetts who died in Phoebus, Virginia in 1924 at the age of 94 or 96. The collection includes a few financial and personal documents and personal correspondence, but it is mostly correspondence between people involved with Tibbetts' inheritance. Tibbetts enlisted in the army in Richmond, Virginia when he was 17 years old and fought in the Mexican War. Genealogy of the Tibbetts, Stover and Cunningham families are partially shown in the letters searching for heirs.

Lowther, Minnie Kendall, 1869-1947
M.K. Lowther (1869-1947) was a journalist and one of the first women newspaper editors in West Virginia. She was the author of the HISTORY OF RITCHIE COUNTY; BLENNERHASSETT ISLAND IN ROMANCE AND TRAGEDY; FRIENDSHIP HILL, HOME OF ALBERT GALLATIN; MARSHALL HALL AND OTHER POTOMAC POINTS IN STORY AND PICTURE; and MT. VERNON: ITS CHILDREN, ITS ROMANCES, ITS ALLIED FAMILIES AND MANSIONS. There are complete and incomplete typescripts, rough drafts, revisions, photographs and plates of her books. Also there are typescripts of news articles on Washington, D.C., the Potomac Valley, and Wood County. There are genealogical notebooks and correspondence and also correspondence to publishers concerning business arrangements.
