30 digital photographs created by participants in a project to capture life in Rainelle, WV during the COVID-19 pandemic and display how the 2016 flood recovery efforts intesected with the COVID-19 pandemic. Project was organized by Jamie Shinn, an Assistant Professor of Geography in the Department of Geology & Geography at West Virginia University. The .docx file includes captions/titles and photographer information for the 30 .jpg files.

Alexander, Anna Beard

Records of the Raleigh General Hospital Nurses Alumnae Association, which consisted of 145 nurses who graduated from the Raleigh General School of Nursing in Beckley between 1928 and 1951, some of whom were members of the U.S. Army Nurse Corps who volunteered for service in World War II. Materials include graduation programs, photographs, newspaper clippings, and more. Also includes two nurses caps and other artifacts.

Regina Charon (1946-2004) was a civil rights lawyer who is best known for her work in unemployment law, sex discrimination law, and LGBT adoption law. The collection includes biographies about Regina Charon's life and life's work as a lawyer, focusing on civil rights. Topics include the 1977-1978 WVU Council for Women's Concerns, the Regina Charon Zealous Advocate Award, and the Regina Charon Fellowship for Law and the Public Interest. There are photocopies of the Jus Et Factum newsletter and photographs of Regina Charon's life from childhood through adulthood.
