Description:
The Special Collections Research Center (SCRC) houses one of the largest and most significant collections of rare and unique materials of any educational institution of comparable size in the United States. Focused on Virginia history but with nationally and internationally important collections, the Manuscripts Collection includes letters, diaries, journals, scrapbooks, business records, organizational minutes, and other items that provide evidence of events great and small and the daily lives of Americans of all backgrounds. The Rare Books Collection, with volumes dating from the 15th century to the present, is strong in dogs, Virginia-related items, early Virginia family libraries, gardening and natural history, religion, book arts, printing history, travel, science, and medicine. The University Archives documents the history of William & Mary from 1693 to the present, including a wide range of materials from administrative records, student organization records, and alumni papers to photographs, audio-visual materials, and artifacts.

18, 11 x 8 1/2 inch flyers for events and speakers sponsored by the Asian & Pacific Islander American Studies Department (APIA) and the Reves Center for International Studies. Six brochures, 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. Two of the brochures are programs for performances, "Sitayana: Journey of Womanhood," and "Sa Pagitan." Two brochures are programs for the APIA Commencement & Awards Celebration held on May 13, 2017. The last two brochures are titled "Tribe Bayanihan, Filipino Cooking at the College of William and Mary," and contain four recipes. There is also a QR code for tickets to some event, the QR code has been disabled.

Rachael Lee Poems, 2020/2021 1.27 Megabytes

A collection of poems from Covid 19, month by month from March 2020 to February of 2021 written by William & Mary student Class of 2024 Rachael Lee. Lee submitted a previous collection of poetry that she asked not be made public. With that submission, she provided the following description which also describes many of themes of this submission: "Poetry created during the Covid19 Pandemic, most of them covering ideas of coming of age in an era of death, and the difficulty connecting with others from behind a mask. Isolation, death, and a ruining of youth are central themes in these poems."
