Wolff, Mindy Oral History, 2019

A member of the Class of 1975, Mindy Wolff hailed from the Philadelphia suburbs and was an accomplished swimmer before ever stepping foot on the campus of William & Mary. She qualified for the 1968 Olympic trials, but injuries derailed her elite swimming aspirations, though not her love for the sport. She brought that love with her, spending four years competing on the swim team. Her greatest collegiate memories were the trips to Idaho, Arizona, and Penn State for nationals. After college, she taught math, eventually becoming a tutor. Her interview includes gender equality on campus, being a "Yankee" in the south, the network she's forged because of William & Mary, her desire for an engineering program at her alma mater, and advice for future college students.

Women in Law Centennial Planning Materials, Newsletters, and Additional Event Materials, 1990/2019 Box III.7

Planning materials related to special programming for the 100 year anniversary of women in the WVU College of Law. Programming included a commemorative timeline of women's milestones, a documentary, the creation of a women alumni directory, and special events. There are notes about notable women in the college, timeline drafts, promotional materials for the directory and documentary, completed contact forms from the women's alumni network, event budgeting sheets, and more. Invitations/registration forms for commemorative events and a bound copy of West Virginia University Women in Law: A Chronicle of 101 Years of Achievements are included as well. Box also includes several copies of OnPoint newsletter (volumes 1 through 6, nonconsecutive) and a scrapbook with materials from the "200 Years of Balance: A Symposium on the History of the Constitution and the Separation of Powers" event featuring Senator Robert C. Byrd.

Women's Basketball records, 1939/2024 3 Linear Feet

The collection is composed of programs, media guides, schedules, rosters, posters, ephemera and other material related to the women's basketball team at William & Mary. The bulk of the material pertains to the years after 1991 and consists mainly of programs and media guides which are arranged chronologically.

This collection contains fliers for Women's Network meetings, as well as record material compiled and collected by Professor Katherine "Kitty" Preston. Some of Dr. Preston's files cover the time when the Women's Network was named the Women's Caucus. The files largely include communications among Women's Network Executive Committee members, event programming, research and information on women's issues on campus, and Executive Committee meeting minutes. Collection includes digital files; at least 72 hours advanced notice required for access.
