Biographical information regarding John Forrest Knight (1901-1976), or "Fuzzy" Knight, a successful West Virginia University (WVU) cheerleader, and member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. He was also a musician who wrote two WVU fight songs, including "Fight Mountaineers" (1923) and "To Thee, Our Alma Mater" (1927), and worked as a theater musician in Fairmont, and in Morgantown. He later had success in Hollywood films.

This collection includes records transferred from the West Virginia University College of Law (COL). Series I includes papers of various COL faculty, administrators, alumni, and associates. Series II includes materials used as class resources, generated by students, and related to curriculum. Series III includes materials related to COL events and the College's various publications (e.g., newsletters and journals). Series IV includes administrative materials and records of general College of Law operations. This series contains the most diverse grouping of materials, and it includes things like correspondence, photographs, reports, and some artifacts. Series V includes records of renovations, additions, and new construction of COL facilities. The most common material types are architectural drawings and related correspondence. Series VI includes records related to the process of maintaining and reviewing the College's accreditation status with the American Bar Association and American Association of Law Schools. The most common material types are ABA/AALS reports, compiled internal records, and correspondence. Series VII includes records of the law library. Materials from the Eberly College of Arts & Sciences Time Capsule, representing what it means to be a Mountaineer in 2018. The time capsule was created in conjunction with the 2018 campus read book, Station Eleven, and was interred on the college's 25th anniversary. The physical time capsule, containing artifacts from the College, departments, programs, and student organizations, was buried for 20 years, to be excavated in 2038. This collection includes the list of items that went into the pysical time capsule, as well as its location. A digital time capsule, filled with students' items was also created. This collection includes an inventory of the digital items as well as the files themselves, in PDF and JPG formats.

This collection contains the records of the West Virginia University Libraries Dean's Office from 1960 to 1998 during the tenure of Deans Dr. Robert F. Munn (served 1957 to 1986) and Dr. Ruth Jackson (served circa 1989-1999). Subjects include library automation, renovations to Colson Hall and the development of subject libraries such as law, health sciences and music. Formats include correspondence, reports, publications and meeting minutes.
