The Charlottesville Derby Dames records include approximately 1,100 electronic documents, primarily in Word, Excel, PDF, and JPEG formats, outlining the formation of the team and its operation. An additional 12,750 digital photographs and videos are also included, as well as captures of the Dames’ website and facebook circa December 2012.

Campaign material relating to political elections in the Williamsburg area, Virginia state races, and United States Senate, Congressional, and Presidential races. Thomas was a delegate for the Virginia State Convention in 2012 and a volunteer for the 53rd Inaugural Presidential Ceremonies. This collection includes badges from her involvement with the political process, pamphlets, bumper stickers, pins, and campaign material for the Democratic party.

Records of the National Youth Science Camp, an annual science education camp for recent high school graduates held each summer at Camp Pocahontas near Thornwood, West Virginia. Includes administrative records, such as minutes, correspondence, reports, financial records, and some facilities and construction records. There are also student delegate files, yearbooks, press books, press releases, clippings, photographs, and materials regarding a senate luncheon held regularly which includes invited speakers.

The collection includes organizational papers, minutes, correspondence, and other materials documenting NOTICe's formation, relationships to other organizations and various projects and concerns. The Minutes series is the biggest. The set of minutes is fairly complete; however there are occasional gaps where we have only the agenda for a meeting.

The collection includes minutes, correspondence, annual as well as other reports, newsletters, newspaper clippings, notes, various publications and other materials. The date range of the collection, from the early 1920's until the present, spans the history of the organization. There seems to be some minutes missing from the years 1939 through 1945.Much of the correspondence from the 1970s focuses on the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment and includes letters to and from Virginia's U.S. Congressional delegation. Numerous regional and state issues are also documented in the collection.

This collection includes materials from Dr. Emory L. Kemp's career of researching, documenting, and preserving historic structures. Kemp was a practicing civil engineer from 1952-1959, then taught civil engineering, historic preservation, and the history of technology from 1962-2003 at West Virginia University. He served as an expert consultant for the preservation of many historic engineering structures, including bridges, waterways, and mills. He also published regularly and remained active in several professional organizations.
