Athletics programs (incomplete set) published for competitions between the teams of West Virginia University and other colleges and universities. Includes mostly football and basketball programs. Programs for later decades are entitled "Mountaineer Illustrated."

Includes records generated by West Virginia University's College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences (CPASS), which is now known as the College of Applied Human Sciences, School of Sport Sciences. The collection reflects everyday internal operations, staff and leadership activities, administrative plans and reports, outreach and community events, the CPASS Hall of Fame and other college events/awards, the development of campus facilities used by CPASS and WVU Athletics, and other subjects. Common material types include photographs, scrapbooks, bound reports, printed notes and correspondence, event programs and bulletins, magazines, and newspaper clippings. All reports from the 1995 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self-Survey and Transition Plan undertaken by the Division of Campus Engagement and Compliance (then known as the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion). The self-survey and transition plan are required of all institutions with more than 50 employees to discern accessibility issues in facilities, programs, services, activities, and events, to determine compliance with the ADA, and to outline a plan to remedy the identified barriers to access.
