The Subject Files series consists of professional papers of individuals affiliated with the ASPN: Jose Strauss, Adrian Spitzer, William E. Segar, Chester M. Edelmann, Billy S. Arant Jr., and F. Bruder Stapleton. Professional papers include but are not limited to publications, correspondence, photographs, article drafts, and research outlines. In addition, there are other biographies of persons affiliated with the ASPN in this series, along with singular publications and a calorie slide rule.

Subject files are arranged alphabetically and include reports, meeting notes, studies, handbooks, published materials, articles, and Lecos' dissertation from 1980.

Includes newsletters, brochures, handwritten notes, and personal files of WVU Sports Information Director Edgar "Eddie" Barrett and WVU Athletic Director Robert "Red" Brown on the West Virginia Centennial Celebration, 1962-1963. Also includes commemorative patches of the state centennial celebration (Box 20, Folder 2) and correspondence with various people and businesses in Charleston and elsewhere about the celebration (Box 20). Papers also include a photograph and programs of the Swedish National Gymnastics Team performance at West Virginia University in 1955 (Box 20, Folder 4). Other papers include publications, photographs, biographical information, and other materials relating to former WVU and NBA basketball star Jerry West. Some highlights include an autographed 1965 edition of Sports Illustrated (Box 21, Folder 5), and photographs of the Jerry West Boulevard dedication ceremony in Morgantown (Box 21, Folder 4).

Subseries 9.2 consists of compact discs from 2003 to 2011 with University Relations information, BOV committees, and a School of Computational Sciences overview.

Subseries 9.3 consists of cassette tape recordings of meetings dating from 1985 to 2011. This subseries is arranged chronologically.

This series contains course announcements, syllabi, notes, and other materials that document classes and workshops taught by the faculty and staff of the Health Sciences Library.

This series contains plans for the infirmary for the State Female Normal School, Tabb hall renovations plans, French, Tabb, and Ruffner dormitory renovations, and electrical alteration plans.

Dr. Burnette correspondence with history professors and academics at state and private universities about teaching jobs, education, and history. There are also personal letters with colleagues and friends including James Southall Wilson, Edward Younger, John Cook Wyllie, C. J. Bishko, Douglas Southall Freeman, Harry F. Byrd, Thomas T. Hammond, Thomas P. Abernethy, and William Haygood.

Arranged in two subseries. Series 2.1: Courses is arranged alphabetically by course number (beginning with physics) then numerically by course number. Series 2.2: General Teaching is arranged alphabetically.
