The collection includes meeting minutes, programs, tickets, student election ballots and broadsides, homecoming items, and other material collected by Ernest W. Goodrich while a student at the College of William and Mary in the early 1930s. The collection also includes correspondence from the Board of Managers of the Alumni Association from the later 1930s when Goodrich was a member. The material from the 1970s-1990s relates to Goodrich's service on the College's Board of Visitors, invitations to official functions and events such as Charter Day, Order of the White Jacket, and class of 1935 reunion material.

Written works, published and unpublished, of Frank Snowden Hopkins, journalist, diplomat, and vice-president of the World Future Society. The collection contains articles written about the Foreign Service, policy papers written for the United States State Department, articles written for the World Future Society, family histories and biographies, a reminiscence of the College of William and Mary in the 1920's, and an unpublished manuscript of a novel promoting the goals and principles of the World Future Society.

Fred Frechette's papers which include his Richmond Times-Dispatch newspaper articles on Williamsburg, Virginia, photographs and his script and related material on "The Once and Future Camelot" a production given for the Williamsburg Reunion. Material related to his duty as a volunteer fireman and his March 25, 2000 pamphlet "William and Mary Students and the Travis House, Feb. 1, 1943-Feb. 28, 1951."

Research material of Gerald Steffens Cowden from his Ph.D. dissertation on the Randolph's of Virginia, "The Randolphs of Turkey Island: a Prosopography of the First Three Generations, 1650-1806. " Also includes other works and essays from his earlier education, and the research accompanying those essays as well.

Contains correspondence, 1854-1876, between Zebulon S. Farland and Ellen Douglas Gordon Farland; letters, 1906-1928, to Margaret (Farland) Hall, from her children, Emily Hall, Channing Hall, Joseph Hall, and John Lesslie Hall concerning education and World War I; and correspondence, 1887-1889, between Margaret (Farland) Hall and John Lesslie Hall, Sr. The collection also includes teaching notes, professional writings, and alumni correspondence with John Lesslie Hall, Sr. Prominent correspondents of Hall include Lyon G. Tyler, Thomas Nelson Page, Joseph Dupuy Eggleston and Basil Gildersleeve. Includes items removed from "The Writing of English"(PE1408 .M38 1929), a book owned by Emily M. Hall.

Papers pertaining to the Hamilton Family of Norge, James City County, Virginia and related families. Among the formats included are diaries, scrapbooks, correspondence, Norge High School records, church records, photographs, slides, CD-Roms, certificates, financial records, a Langley Air Force base photo album, and news clippings and ephemera. Includes correspondence with constituents and state officials; bills and legislative materials; memorandum; reports; pamphlets; and publications arranged according to subject. The collection contains background information and committee working papers showing Virginia's responses to the energy crisis of the late 1970's and to Ronald Reagan's "New Federalismquot; programs as well as the state's policies on education, transportation, and welfare funding, and the activities of state regulatory agencies.

This collection contains correspondence, clippings, photographs, publications, and other material collected by Herbert Ganter, W&M Class of 1927 and Archivist of the College of William & Mary from 1948-1974. Included in the collection are correspondence, photographs, and journals written by and collected by Ganter while a student at William and Mary, correspondence and clippings about information from Swem Library's holdings while Ganter was College Archivist, and correspondence pertaining to the restoration of Williamsburg in the 1930s.

The bulk of the collection is correspondence from H. Reid (Harold Alfred) to College of William and Mary staff in the early 1990s. Also included are news clippings, copies of cartoons by Reid, photographs of unidentified, perhaps scientific or medial, equipment dated 1970-1971, and 2 photographic slides from a 1958 William and Mary football game, one of the athletes and the other of the band.
