This sub-series includes personal and professional correspondence with other authors, poets, and artists, including Gael Turnbull, Maggie Anderson, Cynthia Rylant, Jim Burns, and Robert Morgan. Also included is professional communication with various publishing company representatives, fan mail, and personal notes, letters, and cards from family and friends. Some newspaper clippings, photos, and draft publication materials are included.

In addition to Ralph Cohen correspondence there is correspondence related to his work in organizations including the Modern Language Association, Conference of Editors of Learned Journals (CELJ), The Eighteenth-Century Committee, the University of Virginia, and many more.

Correspondence relates to purchase of postcards and research on Williamsburg history. Correspondents include College of William and Mary staff, other local historians, residents and vendors. The research files include photocopies of reports or pages from books (often via Interlibrary Loan), magazine articles, newspaper articles and online material on the history of Williamsburg, information about local buildings and related topics. Research files are mostly arranged alphabtically by title of book, report, chapter and a few by subject.

This sub-series includes correspondence, court documentation, financial records, and other materials related to the Charleston Gazette and Chilton family business.

Correspondence to and from Adele Blow Chatfield-Taylor discussing various topics including her engagement to Wayne Chatfield-Taylor, invitations to ceremonies and events, general greetings, travel plans, and messages to her mother during her childhood about her daily life. A significant amount of the letters are between Adele and her husbnad Wayne Chatfield-Taylor, and they detail their friendship, courtship, and romantic sentiments.

Correspondence to and from Dr. Baldwin by specific individuals. These are arranged alphabetically by last name. This includes letters from William & Mary president, Dr. Julian Alvin Carroll Chandler; the founder of the Virginia Herpetological Society, W. Leslie Burger Jr.; The plant geneticist, member of the Mulford Expedition, and director of Blandy Experimental Farm, Dr Orland Emile White; Alton M. Harvill, Jr., Professor Emeritus of Biology at Longwood University; and Robert F. Hoover who founded the botanical garden and herbarium at California State Polytechnic College.
