Genealogies of the Smith family and allied Ripley family of Doddridge, Tyler and Jackson Counties, WV and Greene County, PA. The Smiths are descended from Thomas Smith, Sr. from Greene Co., PA of German descent. He was a pioneer settler of the Doddridge Co. community of Nutter's Fork. There is a 3 1/2 in. x 4 1/2 in. color photo of a tombstone dated 1800-85 of Isaac Smith. Others mentioned are Austin Ott Smith, John and Lydia Smith, Lewis Ripley and Harry Ripley. Material covers the years 1756-1989.

Records of the WVU Extension Service. Collection includes instructional booklets on cooking, decorating, and sewing from the 1910s to the 1960s, materials on rural electrification in West Virginia in the 1930s, annual conference programs, and materials on incomes and family budgets. Also includes materials relating to the Farm Woman's Club in West Virginia, studies of school children during the 1940s, and studies of cost of living in rural areas during World War II. There are historical sketches of various county extension programs in the state of West Virginia, most of which describe their establishment and growth.

Tetrick, Jr. The Tetricks were from Harrison County and the material in the collection mainly regards families of Harrison County and north central West Virginia. The collection contains mostly original genealogical compilations and family histories. It also contains personal and business correspondence; financial records; publications regarding local and state history; newspapers and news clippings; obituaries, cemetery records; records of the Sons of the American Revolution; and other material.
