Comprises C. Harrison Mann, Jr.'s personal papers and handwritten draft of his history of George Mason University. Papers pertain to his political career and include subject files, memoranda, campaign materials, speeches, newsclippings and other related materials.

Papers of West Virginia Congressman Harley O. Staggers. Includes legislative files, correspondence, reports, bills, speeches, resolutions, news releases, and invitations. There are records of the House Committee on Interstate and Foreign Commerce which Staggers chaired. There are also copies of bills regarding banking, broadcasting, clean air, education, finance, international relations, the judiciary, public works, and trade. (Box 68, folder 22, contains legislative material pertaining to Harpers Ferry.)

The C-SPAN records consist of materials created and collected by the C-SPAN Corporation and its founder Brian Lamb from the years 1809, 1978-2012. The materials created by C-SPAN originate from 1978-2012, with one antique newspaper from 1809 gifted to Lamb. The records document C-SPAN's functions as a broadcasting network, as well as its continuing engagement in the political and public affairs sphere of the United States.

The Francis J. McNamara papers contains materials collected by Francis J. McNamara dating from 1928 to 1997 pertaining to American politics and culture during this period. The main concentration in this collection deals with national security with respect to the influence of Communism, the Civil Rights Movement, and the counterculture. It is comprised of newspaper and magazine articles, letters, memoranda and other personal documents, U.S. government documents, pamphlets, and other printed materials.

This collection contains the records of the Center for the Study of Constitutional Rights. The collection has documents from 1982 to 1992. Material in this collection include address lists, audience survey forms, bibliography of human rights, organizational bill of rights, documents on advisory committees as well as a number of associations and institutional societies. It also contains records pertaining to lecture series, correspondence, grants proposals, budgets, conferences, videotapes, and photographs among other things.

Arch Alfred Moore Jr. (b. 1923) served two consecutive terms as Governor of West Virginia from 1969-1977 and a third term from 1985-1989. He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection for governor in 1988. Previously, he was elected as a Republican to five terms in the United States House of Representatives, serving from January 3, 1957-January 3, 1969. He was not a candidate for reelection to the Ninety-first Congress in 1968. He died on January 7, 2015, in Charleston, WV. The Arch A. Moore Jr. papers document his service as governor of West Virginia and in the U.S. Congress.

A collection of 7" reel-to-reel audiotapes from the 1960s and 1970s, including an audio episode of Star Trek, various Republican party speeches, and stage performances by the Beatles, Johnny Cash and Elvis.

This collection relates to Fisher's career as an economist, educator, and U.S. Congressman. The materials include lectures and comments on conservation and natural resources, scrapbooks, pamphlets, appointment books, and correspondence. Materials that relate to his political career in U.S. House of Representatives include correspondence, speeches, press releases, reports, newsclippings, issue papers, testimony, statements, questionnaires, background publications, guidelines, charts, and legislation.

This collection contains materials pertaining to the long and varied career of Maxwell Harway, an economist with the United States Department of State and Department of Labor and a historian and critic of current affairs. Materials include reports and memoranda, newsclippings, business cards, and magazine articles.

Papers used by Patrick Carone for his thesis "Governor as a Legislator in West Virginia" (1969). Includes 11 scrapbooks maintained by West Virginia Governor Okey L. Patteson's press officer documenting Patteson's election campaign (1948), subsequent public relations activities as Governor (1949-52), and life after his Governorship (1953-58). The scrapbooks contain clippings, photographs, programs, tickets, and buttons; topics include annual governor's conferences, festivals, football games, Churchill and Wheeling Downs, and the St. Mary's Centennial Festival (1949); photographs are numerous and include an annual Governor's conference in White Sulphur Springs (1950), the Governor's Mansion of WV (1951), and entertainers Frances Langford (1950) and Dagmar (ca.1953). There are also about 21 3-inch reel audio tapes of interviews conducted by Carone in the late 60s with WV politicians, including John E. Amos, Don Eddy, Holt, Thomas Myles, Okey L. Patteson, and Harry Pauley. The bulk of material dates from 1948-69. There are "scattered" clippings and correspondence regarding Patteson from 1947-80 in two folders.
