The A. J. Davis Family Collection includes journals; scrapbooks; professional and biographical information; photographs, sketches, and ephemera; and a town history. The journals (1874-1927) contain memoirs, particularly of Davis' army experiences, as well as some writing exercises, poetry, stories, and religious observations. Scrapbooks compiled by A. J. Davis include newspaper clippings, personal reflections, and a stamp collection. The professional and biographical information includes service records from Davis' time in the army, genealogy information compiled by other family members, and last wills and testaments. The collection also includes a 19-page history of Woods Hole, Massachusetts, authored by Davis, as well as a draft of the Book of A. J. Davis and other manuscripts. The collection also contain pictures of Davis and his wife.

This collection contains records from the Department of Graphics in the Virginia Tech College of Engineering, primarily from former heads William Henry Rasche and John Rolfe Castleman. Most of the records in this collection are correspondence between people in the department and others within the university. The Department of Graphics was created in 1872 under the name, Department of Technical Mechanics. The Department of Graphics merged into the Department of Industial Engineering in 1963.

Papers of Harley M. Kilgore, U.S. Senator from West Virginia. Includes typescripts, correspondence, printed materials, clippings, broadsides, and a photograph. Topics include congressional bills and legislation on diverse subjects; committees with which Kilgore was involved, including the Senate Military Affairs Subcommittee on War Mobilization, the Special Committee Investigating the National Defense Program (also known as the Truman Committee), the Committee on Military Affairs, and the Committee on the Judiciary; the National Science Foundation; various presidential speeches; and a wide variety of material relating to West Virginia, including items pertaining to the Charleston Airport, the Parkersburg Flood Wall, the Upper Monongahela Project, and many other topics.

The collection includes five boxes of membership applications; four boxes of subject-related files, including committee papers, the government and bylaws of ACMS, resolutions passed, and the women's auxiliary; one box of minutes from years 1951 to 2001; one box of correspondence from 1948-2002; and three boxes of financial records beginning in 1933. There is one photograph of nineteen of the presidents of the ACMS taken in 1981. The addition received in November 2019 was processed into four additional boxes generally maintaining the order in which they arrived which was primarily chronological. Those four boxes include meeting minutes, meeting speakers (some with the typed presentation), meeting attendance, membership lists, membership applications, Continuing Education documents, and Medical Society of Virginia documents.

Alberta Pfeiffer graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1923 as one of the first women to achieve a degree in architecture at that institution. The collection contains drawings, photographs, and correspondence of her architectural career. Most projects are residential, and the collection consists of approximately 250 different designs for various jobs.
