This collection contains photographs taken by Arthur E. Scott, a photojournalist and photo-historian for the U.S. Senate. It contains over 5,000 prints and negatives of United States politicians (mainly Senators), political events such as campaigns and inaugurations, and landmarks throughout the Washington, D.C. area, from the mid-1930s to the 1970s. There are also 27 scrapbooks compiled by Arthur E. Scott, primarily consisting of newspaper clippings of Scott's photographs. The collection also contains glass negatives from the 1910s and 1920s that were taken by other photographers.

Collection includes mostly West Virginia University ephemera, publications, photographs, and negatives, collected by the Young family. Much of the WVU ephemera was likely collected by Guy Bell Young (1874-1962) during his time at the university. Also includes photographs and negatives produced by his son, Guy Bayard Young (1908-1999). Many of these images are from 1936-1937 and pertain to WVU; subjects include Esther Benford (the first woman to receive a civil engineering degree from WVU, and about whom Bayard Young wrote a news article), WVU football games (especially WVU vs. University of Pittsburgh), WVU's Corps of Cadets and their band, and various other student activities. Also includes a few photos of Jackson's Mill, and images of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Jennings Randolph speaking from the back of a train.

Subjects discussed in the work include regional development groups in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio; rural life and community development experiments of the 1930s; American Country Life Association ideology and activities; improvement of small farm practices; and rural adult education and Four-H (4-H) club activities.

Portfolio of correspondence to Thomas R. Daley of Porto Bello Farm, ca. 1914-1920. Business records. Letters written to and from Thomas R. Daley regarding land and property investments in Minnesota, Virginia and Florida. Includes property descriptions, business records,orders for shares in the Metropolitan Milk Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota and orders for farm materials. Thomas Daley's properties in Virginia included Porto Bello Farm, Bassetterre and property on Queen's Creek and Capitol Landing in Williamsburg. Accession included a nineteenth-century photo of young girl on swing which was purchased Tucker House auction. The photograph was transferred to the Tucker Coleman Collection.

Walter E. Lobo (1905-1995) was a chemical engineer, mostly for M. W. Kellogg Company catering to petroleum and chemical industries which performed contract research and development. The collection mainly consists of Lobo's microfilmed files (99 reels) dealing with chemical-, petroleum-, and energy-related topics (including laboratory and field reports). In addition, there are several documents, including a typescripts of reports and indexes of the microfilm.
