Contains material regarding the Bodkin family of Pendleton County, West Virginia. Items within the collection include two Civil War era letters written by William H. Bodkin, other letters, sheriff's summons, receipts, a funeral program, genealogical information, and photographs of Bodkin family members with identification. The collection also contains a brown velvet bonnet and a black scarf; six homemade quilts and a quilted pillow; and a fedora hat. All items within this collection, except the bonnet, scarf, and quilted items, are facsimiles. See "Scope and Content Note" and "Historical Note" for further information.

Papers relating to the Full family of Pendleton and Wirt counties, West Virginia. Includes nearly 350 original items, each with an item number. Items are subdivided into three categories, including: 1. non-tax receipts, court-related documents, promissory notes, etc.; 2. letters, deeds (including a land grant), and miscellaneous longer items; and 3. tax receipts. The Full family lived in Pendleton County, (West) Virginia until moving in 1817 to what would become Wirt County (in 1848). In 1817, that area was still on the edge of the frontier. While the Full family were not the first settlers, they arrived when the area was still very sparsely settled. Their receipts and store account records reflect the growing population and increased availability of goods over time. As was typical of most settlers, they were farmers. Two documents highlight the problems that many settlers faced with getting clear title to their land. Several documents reflect Reuben Full's time serving as a Justice of the Peace for Wirt County (1858-1860). The oldest dated item relates to Lewis Full paying his Revenue Tax to Jos. Henkle via Joseph Roy in pounds, shillings and pence in Pendleton County in 1791. A few undated items are possibly older. Most items are dated between 1800 and 1880. The most recent document is a 1904 letter. The collection also includes a document of transcriptions (2015; in box 2), which includes background information on the family, a table of contents, and an index of persons, places, businesses, and topics.

Papers of Dr. Jasper Allen Moyers and his descendants. The Moyers family lived in Franklin, Pendleton County, W.Va. The collection includes personal and business correspondence, photographs, artifacts, and ephemera. The collection is organized into the following series: Historical information (undated), Correspondence - Dr. Moyers (1890-1946), Correspondence - Businesses in Harrisonburg (1920-1968), Family photographs (1862-1978), Papers of Raymond Moyers (1919-1946), Telephone Co. records (1902-1976), Patient ledgers (1905-1939), Scrapbook (1916-1931), Certificate (1939), Artifacts (undated), Glass plate negatives (undated). and Oversize (one poster, 1931).

Collection of photographs, artifacts, and correspondence relating to the Martin Judy (1831-1885) and Christena Harper Judy (1831-1912) family of Judy Gap, Pendleton County, West Virginia. Subjects of photographs include Martin and Christena Judy, their children, and a few relatives. Most subjects are identified. Artifacts include a scarf, quilt, toy calf, creamer, dish, jewelry box, and cowbell. Correspondence includes memory books and sympathy cards for the deaths of Isom P. Judy and his son, Dennis McClellan "Jack" Judy. Typescript notes describing the history of most of the artifacts are in the control folder. Also includes crayon portraits of Annie C. Tingler Judy and her son Harness Judy, and a bible owned by Gertrude May Bodkin Judy. For more details, see the Scope and Content note below.

Business correspondence and papers, including land grants and deeds, 1761-1881, surveys, wills, and account books of William McCoy, Sr. and Jr., of Pendleton County. There are papers on the administration of estates; management of property in Mercer, Pendleton, and Randolph counties, and in Augusta and Highland counties, Virginia, for absentee owners; and on farm operations. There is material on the Central Bank of Virginia at Staunton; the Moorefield and North Branch Turnpike Company; and on military units in the eastern parts of West Virginia during the Civil War, including letters, orders, and requisitions. Also includes record of land transaction between Levi Hollingsworth and Robert McCulloh regarding 11,435 acres in Pendleton County (1803).

Records of the Circle, Franklin, Will Run, Sugar Grove, and Union school districts. Included are minutes to the Board of Education meetings, files of teacher contracts, and financial ledgers such as those for building funds.
