This collection contains dance cards from various dances held at Washington and Lee University.

Published lecture by retired professor John McKenzie Gunn, dated April 25, 1994; "Can Economics be Both Relevant and 'good'?"

This collection contains certificates issued to donors who financially sponsored scholarships to aid students attending Washington and Lee University post-Civil War. The donors were from various states, including Louisiana, Missouri, and Florida. Two of the donors were women. Several certificates still have coupons that were associated with their gift of supporting students. All of the certificates have been cancelled, which presumably means the funding ended. Some certificates have a red seal that includes the date 1782.

Contains letters, receipts, legal papers and other materials, 1854-1889, related to the Lawrence Washington family of "Oak Grove," Westmoreland County, Virginia. Includes letters written to Lawrence Washington and to his son Robert James Washington. Includes a letter, 1868, from Cynthia Beverley Tucker Washington Coleman concerning land in Minnesota which belonged to her first husband, Henry Augustine Washington.

The collection of Washington forgeries and bookplates from the 19th and 20th centuries measures 1 linear foot. Found within the collection are forged Washington documents from notorious forgers Robert Spring, Joseph Cosey, and Charles Weisberg, as well as unidentified forgeries. The collection also contains bookplates – originals, restrikes, and spurious copies – from the Washington family and correspondence related to the sale of forgeries.

This collection contains the records of the Washington Literary Society. It includes the Secretary's books (meeting minutes, debate topics, membership rolls), treasurer's books, librarian's books, and roll books and membership registers. It also includes record material associated with The Southern Collegian, including a record book and correspondence. The collection ranges in date from 1814-1918.

Diary, 1826-1946, of Lydia Wasson (1800-1853) of North Carolina and La Porte, Indiana, her daughter Charlotte Wasson Cox, and her grandson William Wasson Cox (b. 1857). At the beginning of the diary, Lydia Wasson, a devout Quaker, chronicles her life from birth to 1826 when the regular diary entries begin. Toward the end of her life she dictated her entries to her daughter, who after her mother's death continued to write in the diary a few more times at irregular intervals. Charlotte Wasson also titled the diary "A brief sketch of the religious exercises and varied experiences of Lydia Wasson written by herself - age 52 years - at her death in 1852."
