This collection, which dates from 1742 to 1963, consists of correspondence, land grants, wills, family histories, and genealogical notes related primarily to the Baldwin, Hannah, Wyllie, Blanton, and Spraggins families.

This collection, contained in nine archival boxes, is divided into the following series: Correspondence - All correspondence, with the exception of personal correspondence, are in chronological order. Personal correspondence is arranged alphabetically by the correspondent's last name. Manuscripts - contains a variety of articles written by Dr. Jeffers and texts of addresses given by Dr. Jeffers. This series also contains a draft (typed, with corrections) of a book written by Dr. Jeffers (The Bastards' Book). Included in this series are bits and pieces of stories written by Dr. Jeffers that appear to be autobiographical. Personal and Biographical Materials - contains a collection of materials that Dr. Jeffers kept with his personal papers and that relate to some aspect of his life and career. Included are a birth certificate, educational information, employment information, newspaper clippings, and a personal notebook. This series also includes scrapbook materials with miscellaneous writings, clippings, and photographs that were significant to Dr. Jeffers. There is also an informal notebook filled with random handwritten notes and typed stories. The notebook is entitled "Chats with Jarman and More." Teaching and research - contains research that Dr. Jeffers used in writing articles, including notes and clippings. This series also includes a variety of miscellaneous print materials dealing with organizations in which Dr. Jeffers was actively involved. In addition there is a series of Articles and Newspaper Clippings collected by Dr. Jeffers, as well as a series of photographs.

This collection, which dates from 1876 to 1957, consists of photographs, correspondence, ephemera, stock certificates, newspaper clippings, and four scrapbooks compiled by Hessie St. Clair Bugg.

This collection, which dates from 1884 to 1923, consists of 41 individual ledgers which contain details of accounts payable, accounts receivable, salaries, student accounts, cash records, and other business office financial records.

This collection, which dates from 1806 to 1983, consists of property deeds, correspondence, wills, photographs, and genealogical materials.

The materials in this collection date from 1818 to 1970 and consist of historical memorabilia, ephemera, documents, and photographs collected by members of Pi Gamma Mu, as well as materials related specifically to the organization itself.

The items in this collection date from 1863 to 2021 and include mainly Commencement programs and invitations. However, the collection also includes newspaper clippings, school announcements, and webpage print-outs.

The materials in this collection date from 1848-1974 and are arranged in three main categories: 1: Materials related to Dr. Lancaster's father, Robert Alexander Lancaster, 2: Materials related to General George Doherty Johnston and his wife Stella Johnston. 3: Materials related to Dr. Dabney S. Lancaster.

The contents of this collection include 11 New York Times newspapers dating to the Civil War Era, and various Michigan and Detroit based papers dating to the Great Depression, World War II, and Cold War eras.

These volumes, which date from 1884 to 1964, contain the minutes of faculty meetings. Also in this collection is a volume containing the meeting minutes, 1955-1957, of the Student Standards Committee, a group composed of faculty members.
