Seven account books of the firm of Winter and Haller, later Cather and Haller, Tryconnell Mines, West Virginia; accounts of a general store form 1881-1889 and a few later entries. Deposited by John Traxler and M. J. Haller of Morgantown and brought to the Library through the efforts of Prof L. W. Chappell.

With His Mother Elizabeth A. Beale-Morgan -- Elizabeth Morgan tells her son of her ill health, a visit to Point Pleasant and the relations that live "at the Point," She requests that her accounts be settled and the money sent to her. John's letters originate from Barboursville and Point Pleasant, and cover his schooling, horse breeding, hunting, the farm business of Colonel Smith, and repeated requests for money., 1864/1894 Box 1, Folder 9

Woodbridge-Blennerhassett and Company
Correspondence and financial records of the firm of Dudley Woodbridge and Company of Marietta, Ohio, pertaining to Woodbridge's partnership with Harman Blennerhassett. Subjects include early Ohio River trade, transportation, and markets; Blennerhassett's financial misfortunes; the Burr conspiracy; and family and social affairs. Included in the collection are extracts from the Silas Brown letters in the Library of Congress relating to the Burr Conspiracy; and an unpublished manuscript by Josephine Phillips, "The Blennerhassett-Woodbridge Partnership: An Experiment in Chain Store Operation, 1798-1806.
