These descendants inhabited parts of Hampshire, Wayne, and Taylor counties in West Virginia and Washington County, Maryland.

This collection consists of 17 folders. In addition to the untitled book, designated the "Von Frieling Sammelband," the collection contains photocopies of the book and materials related to the 20th century version of Von Frieling's green butter salve, also called Von Frieling's plaster salve. These materials include documentation and packaging for the salve, patent paperwork, correspondence, and various items related to herbal medicine and early German printing, as well as two samples of the salve itself.

Diary entries are from VMI (1852), University of Virginia (1855-1856), Theological Seminary of Virginia (1857-1858), and Leesburg, Virginia (1859-1860). VMI entries include information about cadet life. Many entries focus on Williams' religious beliefs. The volume also contains notes on Greek history and other academic subjects.

Three land grants and transcripts regarding land in Greene Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania (now part of Greene County), with both the original documents and digital scans available to view. The first grant is dated 23 April 1793 and also includes an official transcript (1918). This grant concerns land located in Greene Township named "Bunkers Hill." The second grant is dated 9 June 1794 and concerns land located in Greene Township named "Bostonian" (it has no corresponding transcript). The third grant is dated 17 June 1794 and concerns a piece of land named "Spicers Defeat," but only the transcript is present. Names mentioned in these grants include Boston Canor, Michael Burns, Thomas Bowen, and Elizabeth Dougherty, Bowen's wife.

This small collection contains records concerning land gifts, purchases, and easements obtained by the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association. Types of records include deeds, memorandums, signed agreements, land plats, maps, drawings, and correspondence. The material dates from 1858 to 2006, however there is some information on Washington family property that dates from the 1830s (the originals of these items were removed and replaced with photocopies in 2001).
