Collection also contains poor claims, county claims, delinquent road lists, county road and bridge petitions, Justice's reports, election certificates, road claims, birth reports, appraisements and bills of sale, Board of Education reports, abstracts of Judgements, oaths of county and district officer, bond records, administrator accounts, and surveyor appointments and road cases. A chronological index to the case papers is available. Part of the collection is unindexed.

Abstract Or Scope
This microfilm version of the Thornton Tayloe Perry Collection held by the Virginia Historical Society contains historical material collected by Perry over a 30 year period. It concentrates upon western Virginia and West Virginia with particular emphasis upon the lower Shenandoah Valley and Jefferson, Berkeley, and Morgan counties of West Virginia. The microfilm was placed in the West Virginia Collection by the Virginia Historical Society under provisions of a National Historical Publications and Records Commission grant.

A pocket diary of James Wilson gives information on his law practice in Kanawha, Monongalia, and Wood counties in 1804.
