Papers, 1727-1866, of Francis Prioleau Lee, his wife Sara Ann (Cooper) Lee, and her family. Chiefly papers, 1830-1850, of Francis P. Lee and concerning his estate. The papers reflect his education at Princeton University and at the General Theological Seminary, New York, New York. They cover his career as an Episcopal minister serving churches in Camden, New Jersey; Tallahassee, Florida; Camden, South Carolina; and Mobile, Alabama (Christ Church); and his trying to obtain an appointment to the faculty of the College of South Carolina. A major portion of the papers consist of manuscript sermons by Lee. The collection also includes wills and estate papers of Joseph Cooper and Benjamin Cooper; correspondence concerning lands in New Jersey and Pennsylvania inherited from Benjamin B. Cooper; and the financial problems of Sarah Ann (Cooper) Lee's brother, Ralph V. M. Cooper.

Historical Collections and Services houses seventeen boxes of Wade Hampton Frost materials. The Frost Papers include personal and official correspondence, photographs, scientific publications, newspaper articles, taped interviews, and assorted memorabilia pertaining to Wade Hampton Frost and his family. Frost's daughter, Susan Frost Parrish, donated the collection to the Claude Moore Health Sciences Library in 1984 with added research notes. (It is noted that the maiden name of Susan Frost Parrish is Susan Haxall Frost which is also her mother's name. She is entered in our collection as Susan Frost Parrish).

This collection consists of a quarterly journal and copies of unrecorded Monongalia County, WV wills. The journal, Keyhole, a quarterly publication of the Genealogical Society of Southwestern Pennsylvania, features two articles which discuss West Virginia residents: "Unrecorded Monongalia County, West Virginia wills," Ruth E. Renton and Raymond Martin Bell and "McCollock of Ohio County, West Virginia," Raymond Martin Bell. In "Unrecorded Monongalia County, West Virginia Wills" the authors provide information concerning unrecorded wills of persons living in Monongalia County (present day Washington County, Pennsylvania.) The four unrecorded wills are Moses Cooper of Roxburg, Morris County, New Jersey, 1777 April 1; Benjah Dunn of Monongalia County, 1778 February 19; Stephen Ulery of Ten Mile Creek, Monongalia County, 1778 March 10; and David Wright of Monongalia County, 1778 August 26. The article also lists Charles McRobbins (alias Roberts) as Larry had a will written 1775 October 6. Copies of the unrecorded wills are included with the collection. Although these copies are copies of copies they are in excellent condition. Bell's "McColloch of Ohio County, West Virginia" discusses the genealogy of the McColloch family of Ohio and Hampshire counties.
