J. Dupuy Company of Charlotte Court House. Also, contains typescript of Richard Lee Morton's copy of Hugh Blair Grigsby's notes on the Robert Rose Diary and of William Cryer's transcript of the Charles Campbell diaries.

Letters and papers of the Earls of Dunmore, a branch of the Murray family of Scotland. All of the papers, except eleven items relating to Virginia, 1770, 1776 are photocopies. The early papers relate to lands in Brabant (a province of the Netherlands) inherited from the 7th Earl of Derby and his wife, and to the role of Charles Murray, 1st Earl of Dunmore (1661- 1710) as Master of the Horse to Queen Mary, the wife of James II.

This collection contains a leather bound English receipt and home remedy book, dating 1665-1704. The book's contents include food recipes for various wines, desserts, and meals, as well as treatment for agues, pains, and various illnesses. Loose papers within the collection contain more recipes and a love poem. Several names inside the front cover, along with different handwritings, suggest the book may have at least two owners: "Madam White" and Mrs. Ashworth. A typed transcription of the book's contents is also included.
