The print features a section of land plots available along a beach front section of Virginia Beach in Princess Anne County and was probably printed between 1914 and 1926. The beachfront drawing features a casino, arcade, and roller coaster and also a proposed large hotel. In 1914, the Pollard-Wrenn Company, Inc. changed their name to Pollard-Seaton Company, Inc. In 1926 a competition was held by Norfolk newspapers to name the proposed hotel. The Cavalier was the chosen name and it opened in 1927. Other areas featured on the print include a distant depiction of Norfolk, Cape Henry, the Elizabeth River, and the Willoughby Spit.
