This collection contains printed ephemera regarding events, dinners, lectures, and fundraising from 1988 to 2000 both at and for the library. Also included are received rsvps for a few of the events.

This collection contains two hard-shell portfolios containing sets of 32 before and after photographs of the impacts of the bombing raids on Stuttgart, Germany during the Second World War. The portfolios are embossed with a seal of the City of Stuttgart; the photographer and the creator of the portfolios are unidentified. The photographs taken prior to the bombing raids are undated but were likely captured prior to 1940. The comparison photographs, depicting the damage to the infrastructure and architecture of Stuttgart were captured in 1946. Each picture has a label in German identifying the location and notable buildings with the only difference being those depicting the bombing effects have a date. The photographs capture street views of various neighborhoods and landmarks such as museums, cathedrals, Nacht-wächterbrunnen auf Breuninger (the Nightwatchman fountain), and the Stuttgart capital square. Some photographs capture citizens in the streets, but the emphasis is on the architectural impacts. It is suspected that the portfolios may have been created in Stuttgart and sold as a "before and after" set showing the devastation after the Second World War. Also included is research and notes compiled in 2004 by Jessica Parker, the Image Collection Manager, while researching the collection. This folder primarily contains newspapers articles regarding the bombing and correspondence with faculty members.

This collection contains three Tibetan commissioned by the University of Virginia Library for the opening of the renovated library in 2024. Thangkas are paintings on on cotton or silk appliqué, typically of a deity, scene or a mandala and act as a visualization support for mediation practices or other Buddhist rituals. The titles of the three thangkas are Seventeen Philosophers, Four Friends, and World Peace Mandala. The three scrolls are on cotton canvas, painted with stone colors and decorated with 24-carat gold on brocade with wooden handles. All were scanned, and two were reproduced to display outside the Tibetan reading room in Shannon Library 2024. These were created by the Rincheling Gallery and Art School located at Boudhanath, Kathmandu Valley, Nepal.

The University of Virginia Library Electronic Text Center Records are currently divided into four series. As a part of the University Archives, this is a crowing collection, where a new series will be created with each new addition. The first series is the initial accession, and the latter three including the first, second, and third additions. This collection includes correspondence, policies and procedures, files on grants, other forms of documentation, and some printed material. There is a substantial amount of material on the Japanese Text Initiative project. Many of the materials regarding the Japanese Text Initiative are copies of source material used for the project, primarily are written in Japanese, that have annotations and notes attached to them, as well as notes, emails, and information about programs and standards used for this project written in English and Japanese. Also included are the records of Kendon Stubbs, Librarian Emeritus of the University of Virginia, that focus on the University's efforts to obtain the Raymond Danowski Poetry Collection and the operations of the Rare Book School. Physical materials are arranged as found and are unprocessed.
