The 20 bound ledger books that make up the Business Affairs - Accounting Ledger Books collection provide detailed accounting documentation of the fiscal operations of Radford Normal and Radford College from 1911 through 1936.The earliest ledgers record the initial operating expenses of the College starting in 1911, and include expenses related to the initial development of the Radford campus, the creation of the College infrastructure and staffing, general procurement of the items and services necessary to open the college doors in 1913, and the first student account records starting in September 1913. The remaining ledgers document the fiscal operations of Radford through 1936, including detailed accounts of student tuition and fees.
