A group of West Virginia University students formed the Mountainlair Action Coalition in Jan. 1976 to persuade university administrators not to lease food services in the student union (Mountainlair) to a fast food franchise. This collection consists primarily of publicity material: leaflets, newspaper clippings, xeroxed magazine and newspaper articles, and similar items. There are also handwritten notes, a skit about the food franchise issue, transcribed interviews with nutritionists and with member of Local 814 of the Laborers International Union.
