A hand written journal kept by Col. Luther Haymond of Harrison County, [W.] Va., from 1830-1833, telling of his travels and experiences at the time. The journal notes Haymond's observations while traveling by horse from Harrison County, West Virginia, to Baltimore, Maryland. There are descriptions of Baltimore, Romney, Charles Town, and other places.

A manuscript surveyor's book of first five-mile section of the Weston and Fairmont Road. Haymond was Engineer for the Weston & Fairmont Turnpike Co., 1849. The drawings show the cuts and fills to be made during the first five miles.
