Diary, September 1942 to December 1943, of Hilda Haworth, a resident of Guernsey who, during WWII, was deported by the German army to a POW camp in Dorsten, Germany and later transferred to the POW camp Lindele in Biberach, Germany. Discusses the daily life in the camp, including food and accommodations, being separated from her children, illnesses, entertainment, different gender roles within the camp, anxiety about children who were left behind, excitement about mail, parcels from the Red Cross, and hopes for the war to end quickly.
