Fund raising letter sent by science fiction author Isaac Asimov requesting donations for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) to oppose the teaching of creationism in public schools. The letter discusses recent laws and legal cases in Louisiana and Arkansas as well as the history of creationism and creation science.

Postcard sent by science fiction author Isaac Asimov to W. Jeffrey Hurst on 10 April 1989. Hurst had previously written to Asimov to request that he write an article for the journal "Laboratory Robotics and Automation". Asimov's postcard regretfully declines Hurst's offer, as Asimov explains that his experience with robotics, a term Asimov invented, came from his fiction writing rather than practical experience with the subject. Postcard is typewritten with Asimov's signature in blue ink.

This collection includes 205 issues of "Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine" and other publications edited by Isaac Asimov. "Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine", later re-named "Asimov's Science Fiction", comprises the majority of the collection. Publication started in 1977; this collection includes a nearly complete run of issues through 1993, then scattered issues 1994-2008. There are also three issues of "Asimov's SF Adventure Magazine" (1978-1979) and one issue of "The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction" (1996).
