Gill was studying at West Virginia University at the time of this correspondence. In these letters, Andrews speaks only briefly about his writing and education. The conversations are personal in nature, with Andrews mentioning trips home to Charleston, sharing jokes, discussing relationships, and sending regards to other family and friends living near Gill in West Virginia.
