Abstract Or Scope
Report of the class work of S.A. Hays for the term ending June 8, 1882, signed by A. W. Lorentz, principle of preparatory department, shows subjects studied and grades received. Letter, dated September 22, 1887, from E. M. Turner, president of the University to P. Hays, a Regent in Glenville, W. Va. Mentions a vacancy in the cadet corps in Hays's district and reports one hundred and sixty students enrolled in the University. Also an announcement signed by Prof. H. N. Ogden, promoting the West Virginia Society for the Extension of University Teaching, Ca. 1891. Shows officers of the State Society, the schedule of courses offered, and offers suggestions for the organization of local center.
