One pewter circle medal with green and yellow ribbon. Medal obverse features the college seal with buildings and sun with human face. The medal reverse has a classically inspired theme with three men kneeling before seated female figure. Text around the upper edge reads 'AIDE TO THE PRESIDENT - COLLEGE OF WILLIAM AND MARY.' 'M.B. WILSON' is engraved on small block at the base of the classical figures. Medal in good condition with slight darkening/discoloration on the side with text. Ribbon is in fair condition with discoloration on the green side; ribbon is not sewn at the top and has no fastening mechanism. Medal is 1.25in. in diameter and 3.125in. in length with ribbon. 1-two sided silk map. Sheet E of the map shows Germany, a protectorate, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary. Sheet C of the map shows Holland, Belgium, France, and Germany. The map belonged to Dr. Armand J. Galfo who served in the Army Air Force during World War II and was also an Assistant Dean at the School of Education. The map measures approximately 29.5in. (length) x 34in. (width). and is in good condition. The edges of the map have some fraying and there is a blue ink spot and a black spot on the right side of Sheet C. Scope and Contents

One rectangular green wool felt pillow with grey trim and orange lettering. Pillow backing is larger than the centered front piece, with the addition fabric cut into approximately 1in. wide strips for fringe. Pillow front is sewn to the backing with a piece of grey decorative trim featuring a stepped triangle pattern. 'WILLIAM / AND / MARY' is sewn to the pillow front in orange felt letters 1.5in. or .75in. high. Pillow is 19in. (length) x 13.5in. (width) x 1.5in. wide. Pillow is in good condition with minor pitting/holes from insect damage on back and front. One piece of fringe in upper left corner has several holes and brown discoloration. Another piece of fringe on the lower left side has 1.5in. tear in the middle. Stiching appears to be very secure with only a few exposed thread pieces on the back. SCRC Purchase. 1-lapel pin made of gilt brass that features the depiction of an eagle with its wings spread out in the middle of a circle. The bottom of the circle has five stripes. The lapel pin was awarded by the Department of Defense to those U.S. Military Servicemen who had been honorably discharged during World War II. The pin belonged to Armand J. Galfo, U.S. Air Force Reserves officer and Assistant Dean of the School of Education at the College of William and Mary between 1965 and 1966. The pin measures approximately 0.4375 in. (length) x 0.625in.(width) and is in good condition. The part of the pin that is used to affix it to the lapel of a shirt or uniform is missing. Transferred from the Armand J. Galfo Papers.
