John Stewart Bryan Yule Log Shoe Buckles, 1934/1942

One pair of black with brass leather colonial reproduction shoe buckles that were used by John Stewart Bryan for the Yule Log Ceremony at the College of William and Mary. The buckles are 3.5in. x 3in. They are in fair condition. Located in TextilesS1 SS8, Box 33. UA 2009.020.9

John Stewart Bryan Yule Log Waistcoat, 1934/1942

One waistcoat with a front brown panel with rose bushes and daisies used by Bryan for the annual Yule Log ceremony at the College. It is made of silk. The side of the waistcoat is turquoise and the inside is lined with silk crepe. The buttons are silk covered buttons. It is in good condition. Located in Textiles S1 SS8, Box 32. UA 2009.020.3

Old Motor Dynamo Engraving Plate. Wood and metal engraving plate depicting an old motor and a label reading "Old motor dynamo. W M Bulletin, v. 32, no. 4, April 1938." Plate measures .875 in. (height) x 1.5 in. (length) x 3 in. (width). Plate is in good condition with moderate black stains on the wood. Transferred from Box 2 of the Galen W. Ewing Collection (UA.1981.099). UA1981.099.13

Pi Beta Phi Pin Given to Mary Mackey Sainsbury (UA 2008.005.4), 1936/1940 Artifacts Box 521

One gold pin from the sorority Pi Beta Phi that was given to Mary Mackey Sainsbury while a student at William and Mary. The pin is approximately 0.875in. x 0.5625in. and is in fair condition with some traces of corrosion along the bottom of the pin. Gift of Mary Sainsbury.
