Basketball Pin (UA 1985.079.6), 1925/1936 Artifacts Box 514

One brown painted tin pin in the shape of a basketball that was once owned by Martha Virginia Sleet, class of 1928. The basketball has a green and gold ribbon attached to it. The basketball is 1.5in. in diameter, and the ribbon is 5in. long. The basketball is in good shape with some chips in the paint, but the ribbon is in poor condition showing tears and fading. Facsimile of Phi Beta Kappa Key (UA 1980.085), 1926 Artifacts Box 506

One Facsimile of the 1780 Phi Beta Kappa key owned by William Short. It is a square, silver medal machine-engraved with a hand pointing to the Greek letters for Phi Beta Kappa and three stars. The reverse is engraved with "SP December 5 1776" in script. The key is a 1in. square. The medal is in a dark blue leather case labeled "L.G. Balfour Co. Attleboro, Mass." Fighting Virginians Pin (UA 2011.573), 1926 Artifact UA 2011.573

One greyish brown round metal button pin with headshot photos of each of the 25 [football?] players. Below the players' heads is the text 'Fighting Virginians / 1926.' Button has paper backing and a straight wire pin on the back. Pin is in good condition with only minor spotting on the front surface. Pin measures 2.25in. in diameter. Transferred from Alumni Association.
