This addition to the Southall Papers was found in the attic of the Bright House (now part of William and Mary's Alumni House) in 1947. The material pertains to the Southall and Bright families, with some material by the related families of Robert Anderson and Alexander MacCauley. Correspondence between Alexander and Elizabeth MacCaulay, parents of Helen Maxwell MacCaulay who was married first to Peyton Southall, then to Robert Anderson. Personal and business accounts of Robert Anderson. Robert Anderson was the executor of the estate of George W. Southall, son of Helen and Peyton Southall (1810-1851) and some of his accounts are filed with George Washington Southall's estate papers. Financial papers of Samuel Bright and his son, Robert Anderson Bright. Samuel Bright was the husband of Elianna Maria Jerdone Southall. Legal and financial papers of the Southall Family. Material on the estates of various members of the Anderson and Southall families, particularly George Washington Southall who died in 1851 and whose estate was contested. Includes Addition 1992.47b.
