This collection contains primarily visual materials donated to the Lee Chapel Museum over the course of the 20th century-early 21st century. Most of the descriptions were transcribed from what the Museum attributed in their paperwork with some enhancements where necessary. Of particular note is an issue of a Washington College publication called "The Wreath" dated March 18, 1848. Books were separated and cataloged. Abraham Lincoln "First Reading of the Emancipation Proclamation before the Cabinet" engraving, 1866 Oversize Folder 1

Large format engraving by A. H. Ritchie. The engraving was derived from Francis B. Carpenter's 1864 painting entitled "First Reading of The Emancipation Proclamation Before the Cabinet." Lincoln is surrounded by members of his cabinet: Edwin Stanton, Salmon B. Chase, Gideon Welles, Caleb B. Smith William H. Seward, and Edward Bates.
