This folder contains two diaries, one from 1899 and 1900. The 1899 diary describes Reverend Grundy living in Oshkosh, WI from the January to May. Rev. Grundy was preaching at the Second Baptist Church in Oshkosh during this time. The diary describes a great deal of travel around Wisconsin, Missouri and Illinois. Locations include: LaSalle, Madison, Chicago, Verona, Milwaukee, Peoria, Chillicothe, St Louis, and Appleton. Diary entries would include the day-to-day activities of Rev. Grundy including his preaching, performing weddings and funerals, and other aspects of daily life. The diary also include account entries from collections throughout the year. The 1900 diary describes Reverend Grundy pastorate at the First Baptist Church in LaSalle, IL. Rev. Grundy continues to travel to and from Oshkosh ant other towns in the area. Diary entries would include the day-to-day activities of Rev. Grundy including his preaching, performing weddings and funerals, and other aspects of daily life. Diary also includes account entries from collections throughout the year as well as an entry related to the 1900 Galveston Texas Hurricane.
