Diary of a young American, Charles P. Ward, who lived in Brazil from March to July, 1936. Ward had evidently not done well at school and his father sent him to Brazil to live for a year. He is partially supervised by Lopo de Millo who is a friend of the family. Initially, Ward spends time making friends, going to clubs and trying to find ways to have fun, but very little time pursuing a job. Throughout the diary, Ward comments on being bored and lonely, how much he misses his family, how he wishes he could find a job, and how introspective he has become. By June, he is really frazzled and unsure what he needs to do. In mid-July, he makes plans to return home. By August, Ward seriously tries to find a job but is unsuccessful. He notes that he wishes to travel down the Panama River and eventually head home, but does not have enough money. He is homesick and lonely and bored with trying to fill up his day. He boards a ship for home on August 12. Ward writes insightfully about the learning experience of being on his own.

Diary, 1921, written by a young man who lived in or near Fowlerville, Livingston County, Michigan. From entries in the diary it can be concluded that he was a railroad worker who lived with his parents on their farm. In brief daily entries he mentions which work he did on the farm and on the railroad, other chores around the house, the health of is mother, the weather, etc.

Diary of an unidentified young man of Middlesex County, Ma., who was a landscaper and a fireman. The following description was provided by the seller:

Diary of Jack Paton (1903-1972) for the year 1923. In daily entries Paton talks mainly about his work as a scout leader and about jobs he had playing music, mostly in the evenings, attending church, being homesick, etc. Some entries mention his job at a large oil company. He also records his monthly wages, income from music as well as his expenses: board, money sent home and general expenditures. Mentions his membership in a Scottish organization.

Diary of Lloyd Hartman (1913-1987) of Spokane, Washington. Entries are fairly regular for the years 1937-1940 and record daily activities, weather and health. The writer mentions social outings, like visits to movies, his work at a bank and occasionally comments on the world-political situation.

World War II Diaries, 1942, of a Civil Defense employee, Norman Freed, of Brooklyn, New York, who attended night classes in optics and engineering.

Minute book for the Young Men's Division of the Pulaski Citizens Club (location unknown), an organization for Polish Americans. The club organized social events like dances and bingo and there is mentioning the intention to set up athletic and educational events as well.

Acc. 2009.492: Volume of copies of outgoing correspondence of Stephen P. Middleton of Norristown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania for the years 1886-1892. The front cover is labeled 'Copy 1886-1892' and the first page is titled "Time Account of Stephen P. Middleton of Norristown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, wrote October 18th, 1886."

Papers of Stephen Pregun (1904-1985) of Passaic, New Jersey, including a diary, 1927-1929; a minute book for the American Rusin Falcon Chorus, New York District, Passaic Branch, 1927-1929, for which Stephen Pregun was secretary from 1928-1929; and a notepad, 1924, recording the work of a debt collector. It has not been determined if Stephen Pregun is the creator of the latter item as well.
