This collection contains speeches and press releases from various officials of the United States Department of Justice. All the items are typescript copies and date generally from the World War II period. Most of the speeches concern domestic legal and economic issues, chiefly civil rights, demobilization, and labor problems.

Diary, 1942, of a woman in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF) in the United Kingdom during World War II. Includes information on her job in a department store prior to joining the WAAF, learning to drive, and her job as a driver for the WAAF. There is also details of her social life before and after joining the WAAF. Her name seems to be "Lee E. Bunn."

Diary, 1945-1946, of an unknown person detailing the reactions to the end of World War II. It includes both handwritten diary entries and well as newspaper clippings cut out and glued into the diary. The cover includes a political cartoon entitled "New Light of Asia" and depicts firebombs falling on Tokyo.

One letter from Donald Ransom to his family dated October 1, 1944. Ransom served in Company C of the 1257th Engineer's Corps, "C" Battalion in World War II.

Collection of letters from Dorothy to her husband, Richard, a Reservist in the Army during World War II. He was stationed with the 59th Training Group in Squadron 598 V at Keesler Field, Mississippi.

Two letters from Dorwin Keller to Stella Breece dated February 22, 1945 and March 15, 1945. In the first letter he thanks her for the box of goodies and recites a poem about the country in which he is based, India. It is not a very optimistic outlook of his location nor the situation of being at war. In the second letter Keller sent along a Japanese bill that he claimed he took from a dead soldier. He indicated that if there was blood on the note that she should just lay it out in the sun so the blood could fade away. He then goes on to comment on the poor quality of Japanese blood, calling it blood type X, and that it is the poorest in the world.
