Correspondence, 1954-1968, typescripts, class notes, course outlines, clippings, pamphlets, paintings, and photographs of an artist and author. Subjects include Islamic, Arabic, and Near Eastern art and the work of Paul Hogarth. Paintings include [Coal Country Scene], oil on canvas, 25 x 30, ca. 1960; [Two Children on House Steps], oil on board, 24.5 x 28, ca. 1960; and Hazel Coal Mine, oil on board, 26 x 28, ca. 1960. This collection also includes an antique children's book slate (dating from the 19th century) owned by Seckar.

Papers of Alvena Seckar, including manuscript copies, an outline, and suggestions for revision of "Mischko", a young adult novel written and illustrated by Seckar. Also includes two items of correspondence.

Correspondence, typescripts, notes, clippings, photographs, and printed material of a local historian and promoter of patriotic societies from Berkeley Springs. Many of the papers pertain to the local history of the eastern panhandle. Subjects include the town of Bath (Berkeley Springs); James Rumsey; George Washington; Porte Crayon (David Hunter Strother); Washington Bicentennial; National Flag Day; D.A.R.; and American Indian Day. One of the clippings scrapbooks includes a photo of West Virginia Governor William G. Conley with Key to Bath, West Virginia (ca. 1929-1933), and another scrapbook contains an announcement for a meeting of the "equal suffrage club" on 25 August 1915.

Correspondence, clippings, biographical sketches, photographs, artifacts, and other items relating to the family of St. George Tucker Brooke (1844-1914), a professor at West Virginia University College of Law, 1878-1909. Correspondence includes business and personal letters to and from St. George Tucker Brooke and Charles Frederick Tucker Brooke, a Rhodes Scholar and Shakespearean authority at Yale; letters between Francis (Frank) Brooke to Mrs. Mary Brooke while he served in the U.S. and France during World War I (1918-1919); and letters from James Harold in Ireland to his son James in New York (ca. 1870). Other items include a surveyor's call book for Tucker County (1856-1857), which includes notes on the Tucker-Randolph County boundary; "A Narrative of My Life: for My Family," 1763-1849 by Judge Francis T. Brooke; a manuscript recipe book (1814); and microfilmed copy of typescript "Autobiography of St. George Tucker Brooke, Written for His Children" (reel 3). Correspondence, clippings, and printed material collected by the historian of Andrews Methodist Episcopal Church, Grafton, West Virginia. Subjects include Anna Jarvis and the Mother's Day movement and Andrews Church and Methodism in Taylor County. There are photographs of Ann M. Reeves Jarvis and her daughter, Anna. Clippings, letters, broadsides, and articles written or collected by E.E. Meredith, author of the newspaper column, "Do You Remember," which appeared in the Fairmont TIMES-WEST VIRGINIAN. There are: copies of theatre programs, 1917-1919; electoral tickets, 1860, 1864; a proclamation by George B. McClellan, commanding the Department of the Ohio, 1861; and an open letter, "Monongahela River Bridge Underwriting Syndicate Managers," concerning the construction of the million-dollar bridge in Fairmont. Subjects include: Marion County, West Virginia; Augusta County, Virginia; farming account books, ca.1853, 1888; Barnsville; Barrackville Covered Bridge; banks and banking in Marion County, 1842-1892; blacksmith shops; buffalo; Marion County Historical Society; coal industry in the Fairmont region; a West Virginia Gold Mining and Milling Company certificate; Grafton and Greenbrier Railroad Company stock certificate; stock of Weston and Fairmont Turnpike Company; school teaching, 1819, 1824, 1850, and 1858.
