Papers of Everett F. Moore, a lawyer who practiced in Marshall County and the surrounding area. Everett Moore was the uncle of Governor Arch Moore; they practiced law together. This collection mainly includes papers regarding legal cases and Moore's law practice as well maps of coal fields and other mineral resources. This collection is minimally processed.

Collection regarding Wadestown, West Virginia, including a large book of hand-written arithtmetic problems possibly owned by a "John Shriver" (1807; box 3), a book titled "Uncle John's Stories" (1863; box 1), seventeen score-books from the Wadestown Junior High School basketball team (1948-1965; boxes 1-2), correspondence and other material of the deGarmo family concerning cemetery lots, gas wells, taxes, and other subjects (1913-2005, undated; box 1), a notebook recording death dates of Wadestown residents (undated; box 1), and a notebook recording sales of lots in the Wadestown Cemetery (undated; box 1). Well leases and records, geologic reports, maps, printed material, photographs, and other papers of McGinnis, an oil and gas operator who owned the Tri-State Oil & Gas Co. of West Virginia, and who, after graduating from Marshall University in 1910, became a leading figure in the oil and gas business. Some of his poetry is included in the collection.
