Abstract Or Scope

The bulk of the Charles F. Bryan, Jr. papers consist of correspondence (approximately 200 items) between Bryan and his future wife Carolyn E. Bryan (Mills). A majority of these letters were written during Bryan's cadetship (1966-1969). These papers also include 19 photographs (dated 1966-1984) of Bryan and his family, two small notebooks, and two newspaper clippings.

The Robert G. Tanner papers consist of items relating to the publication of Tanner's 1976 book, "Stonewall in the Valley" (Doubleday, 1976). The papers include drafts, revisions, typescripts, galley and page proofs, and correspondence with the publisher. Also included is a chapter typescript for "The Guns of '62."
