This collection consists of one scrapbook (five pages; probably a fragment) compiled by Cadet Francis R. Torrington, VMI Class of 1940. The scrapbook includes VMI memorabilia and snapshots.

This collection consists of one scrapbook compiled by Frederick M. Moyer. The scrapbook contains clippings, photographs, letters, and other mementos, most concerning his VMI wrestling career.

This collection consists of one three-ring binder containing organic chemistry class notes and other notes kept by Cadet George V. Atkison (VMI Class of 1940).

This collection consists of one certificate presented to VMI Cadet H. Franklin Phillips in May 1943. This "three year testimonial" was presented to each member of the Class of 1944, in lieu of a diploma, when the class members were called to active duty in May 1943. The document states that Phillips successfully completed three years at VMI and was signed by VMI Superintendent Charles E. Kilbourne and others.

The James L. Morrison, Jr. memoirs consist of one typescript titled "Reminiscences of a Keydet Cavalryman" by James L. Morrison, Jr. (VMI Class of 1945). Morrison gives a detailed account his years as a cadet participating in an Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) cavalry unit from 1941 to 1943 and 1945 to 1947. Subjects include the operation of the unit at VMI, cadet riding activities, and individuals involved in the programs.

This collection consists of items related to Richard C. Niess (VMI Class of 1944), including a typescript (written in 1986) titled "Recollections of a VMI Cadet; The Early War Years 7 December 1941-Jan 1944." This collection also includes items concerning Niess's cadetship (1943-1944).

This collection consists of two files of personal correspondence, report cards, and miscellaneous records associated with Robert A. Lewis, VMI Class of 1942. The records span between 1938 to 1944.

This collection also includes a cadet scrapbook (1946-1950) that is largely newspaper clippings.
