This collection contains several series of documents related to Professor John E. Williams's (1867-1943) service as Dean of the College for Virginia Tech between 1924 and 1943. They include correspondence with businesses, governmental organizations, parents, alumni, and other administration members of Virginia Tech. Also included are lists of statistics on enrollment, student organization and university finances, scholarships, as well as reports on the honor and "rat" system. Williams was appointed as professor of mathematics at Virginia Tech in 1903 and served as Dean of the College between 1924 and 1943, when he died.

This collection contains records of Theodorick Pryor Campbell, the dean of the college at Virginia Tech from 1920-1924. This collection consists primarily of correspondence with faculty, educational organizations, parents, presidents Julian A. Burruss and J. D. Eggleston, students, and government entities. Subjects include advertising, budget, disciplinary matters, hazing, and land purchases. Some correspondence dates to 1917-1919 when Campbell was Dean of the Faculty.

This collection contains records from the Department of Graphics in the Virginia Tech College of Engineering, primarily from former heads William Henry Rasche and John Rolfe Castleman. Most of the records in this collection are correspondence between people in the department and others within the university. The Department of Graphics was created in 1872 under the name, Department of Technical Mechanics. The Department of Graphics merged into the Department of Industial Engineering in 1963.

The Department of Philosophy and Religion was formed in 1955, splitting into the departments of Philosophy and of Religion in 1983. The latter became the Religious Studies Program in 1994-1995, then the Department of Religion and Culture in 2009. This collection contains the records of these departments from 1960-2016. Materials include five-year departmental reviews, research, degree and grant proposals, course offerings, newletters, information on guest speakers and faculty members, and photographs.

It mainly contains film guides for older educational films that bring awareness to such topics as animal behaviors, environmental safety, relationships, sexual health, scientific concepts/methods, and other more heavier topics.

This collection includes the written minutes and various papers of the Lee Literary Society from 1873 to 1926, and the minutes of the united Lee and Maury Literary Society during the 1928-29 session. The Lee Literary Society was formed from the split of the Virginia Literary Society in 1873 along with its counterpart the Maury Literary Society. LLS helped create the first student publication, the Gray Jacket, in 1875. The LLS folded in 1928.
