Cumming, Sr. (1869-1948) and his son, AmbassadorHugh S. Cumming, Jr. (1900-1986). Items include materials related to Hugh Cumming, Jr.'s service in the United States Department of State, and to Hugh S. Cumming, Sr.'s study at the University of Virginia, as well as Hugh S. Cumming, Jr.'s study at the Virginia Military Institute.
