This collection consists of three diaries kept by Blanche Luella Barhite between 1904 and 1913. Blanche, who was was 17 years old in 1904, records her daily events and chores, and talks about social activities and family life.

Diary, 1957, of Carol Lee Nimon (b. 1945) of Burbank, California. She was a sixth grader at the time she kept this diary and her daily entries cover school, activities with family and friends, like shopping and dance parties, having a boy friend, getting an autograph of Debbie Reynolds, etc. Lists names and addresses of her friends in the back. Also included are a few loose items, like letter drafts and miscellaneous notes.

Diary of a 14 year old boy in the 8th and 9th grades who lived near Groversville, New York. Entries center around his school and extracurricular activities though he sometimes mentions his father and mother. He is on the baseball team and gives quick rundowns of the games, plus the results of professional team games. After school activities usually involve playing sports – football, baseball, tennis, basketball, marbles - with his friends or his school teams. In the evenings he goes to movies, usually giving the title and his opinion, and listens to fights or Sherlock Holmes on the radio. He is a Boy Scout. He attends Sunday School. During the summer he swims, takes a trip to Portland, Maine, reads and plays baseball, tennis and croquet. Gives weather for many days.

Diary of Dodie Bailey of Bailey's Cross Roads, Virginia, near Falls Church. She began the diary when she was 14 years old and ended it in 1933 when she was 21 years old.

Diaries, 1930-1931 of Dorothy Lee Willmering (b. circa 1915) of Columbus City, Louisa County, Iowa. Dorothy, who was about 15 when she started her diaries, lived with her mother and older sister.

Diary of a teenage boy living near rural Scottsville, New York. He writes every day with a sentence or two about his and his family's activities. He lives on a farm and his mother is a substitute teacher. He is interested in cartooning and hand drawn figures and cartoons are interspersed in the diary. His siblings are Delos and Lewis, both older than he is.

This collection contains the diaries, 1953-1960, of Gertrude Lovett of Beverly, Massachusetts. The diaries describe trips taken by Lovett and her husband, Earle Lovett. The first diary, 1953, concerns a road trip taken by the Lovetts starting in Massachusetts and traveling to the West Coast of the United States and Canada, including stops in a number of National Parks. There is also an account of a trip to Florida in 1960.

Five-year diary, 1932-1936, of a teenage boy, Henry Barber (1918-2002) of Pittsfield, Massachusetts. There are a couple of entries for 1937 on loose pieces of paper as well. In brief daily entries, Henry describes his daily activities, like going to school, collecting stamps, reading, going to ball games, riding his bike and listening to the radio. He wrote most days in 1934, 1935 and 1936 and less often in 1932 and 1933. Also included are a few loose pages, on which he noted the titles of books and magazines, and kept track of his leisure activities and hobbies.
