Scrapbook, 1955-1958 of Barbara (Bobbi) Gabowitz, a teenager from Highland Parks, New Jersey documenting her time spent in a Jewish summer camp, Camp Tel-Hai in Jamison, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Scrapbook includes letters, photographs, admission tickets, newsletters and handmade cards as well as many comments made on those items by Bobbi Gabowitz, who titled the first page "This book contains memoirs of my summer romances at Camp Tel-Hai." Also included is a 1953 photograph showing her parents on a cruise and an undated group photograph of Camp Tel-Hai.The following excerpts of names mentioned in the scrapbook was provided by the seller:"Axelrod, Cohen, Lazar, Pearlman, Gabowitz, Sukoneck, Miller, Freedman, Turner, Spatz, Press, Goldstein, Grossman, Leorne, Feister, Levine, Shubin, Brandoff, Rothstein, Lewis, Torchon, Finestone, Daiell, Lief, Babad, Nathanson, Muchnick, Schoenberg, Koslow, Weinberg, Syrkus, Krant, Davidson, Abramson, Weisblatt."

This collection primarily concerns Clara Louise Walde Lawrence's career as a nurse in the period before, during, and after World War I. Materials in the collection include correspondence, scrapbooks, diaries, photographs and negatives, pamphlets, medical supplies, and other publications. Most of the correspondence, photographs, and publications relate to either WWI or nursing. Notable correspondents include a letter from Julia Cherney (Bateman) to Clara Walde while serving as a missionary in China. Other items of interest include a 1763 Boston Gazette as well as several 19th century American newspapers. The collection also includes Lawrence's Veterans Administration account books from the 1930s. Transcriptions were created of the correspondence before the collection was donated to the Special Collections Research Center and are available here as PDFs. College scrapbook, 1931-1945, kept by Clarice Peterson Thompson at Virginia State College, Petersburg, Va. She entered information on festivities, outings, and plays attended in the pre-printed volume "Memories of My School Days." Several pages are taken up by names and addresses of classmates, as well as their entries and messages dedicated to her. In addition to congratulation cards glued into the volume, there are also a few loose items like news clippings, cards, and a lock of hair. Many pages are left blank.

This scrapbook of a female employee at the Colorado River Relocation Center in Poston, Arizona includes photographs, a poem, programs, correspondence, and other material. The Colorado River Relocation Center is also known as the Poston Relocation Center and was one of the sites internment camps created for Japanese Americans and Japanese nationals by the U.S. government during World War II. Poston is located in present day La Paz County, Arizona. The woman who created this scrapbook, which has been disassembled, is presumed to have been a white federal employee. Papers, ca. 1853-1878 of Portsmouth, Virginia attorney, judge and politician C.W. Murdaugh, consisting of 3 volumes of law notes, notes on politics and history, transcribed stories, poemd and anecdotes, etc. and clippings from papers and magazines, some of which are annotated.The volumes had at some point been numbered 8, 19 and 83 which indicates that they were once part of a larger collection.
